One of the world’s largest tourism companies, the family-owned Carnival Corporation, will soon launch a brand new cruise ship!

In 1972, Ted Arison created Carnival Cruise Lines, a US company specialized in cruises and at the origin of the creation of the concept of “Fun Ships”, these floating holiday resorts designed for a clientele of all ages. This subsidiary of the family-owned Carnival Corporation is today a world leader in its sector of activity and the most famous cruise brand in North America. With more than 100 ships, it plans to add a new one to its fleet by the end of 2020. Named Mardi Gras in honor of the company’s very first ship built 47 years ago, this first XL class ship will be 344 meters long and will have more than 2600 cabins. It will be the first Carnival Cruise Lines ship to be powered by liquefied natural gas.
