The 100-year-old family business Lassonde Inc. who is behind the juices Oasis and Rougemont has shown for some years an impressive growth by acquisition.

Lassonde Inc. is a 100-year-old Québec-based family business and a North American leader in the manufacture and marketing of food products, including fruit and vegetable drinks. Its story began in 1918, while the entrepreneurial couple Aristide Lassonde and Georgianna Darcy opened a vegetable canning factory in Rougemont to manage the surplus harvest. In 1928, the brand Rougemont was born and in 1959, the company focused its activities on the production of apple juice. Eleven years later, it diversified its offer and produced fruit juices. During the 1970s, Lassonde Inc. began to develop an enviable growth strategy by acquisition in Québec, then throughout North America. In 1987, it became a public company. Today, the family business run by Pierre-Paul Lassonde from the 3rd generation is composed of four specialized subsidiaries and holds more than 25 brands such as Rougemont, Oasis, Canton and Canadian Club. Nathalie Lassonde, a 4th generation member, is preparing to take over.
