With enthusiasm, the Chair of Succession and Family Enterprises wishes to congratulate Dr. Audrey-Anne Cyr for winning ex æquo the HEC Montréal Best Doctoral Theses Award for 2022! Her thesis, entitled “Relational Modes of Management in Family Business: Relational Plurality, Configuration and Embedding,” defended in February 2022 under the supervision of Isabelle Le Breton-Miller, professor and holder of the Chair of Succession and Family Enterprises, presents the results of three research projects whose objective is to clarify and broaden understanding of the issues surrounding the multiple forms of interpersonal relationships, their contingent role and value, and the ways in which they become embedded in family businesses.

This prestigious academic recognition given by the PhD in Administration program was presented to her at the biannual HEC Montréal Foundation awards ceremony on April 18th. The scholarship award ceremonies serve to highlight the valuable involvement of HEC Montréal Foundation donors, thanks to whom 338 admission, encouragement, international exchange and academic excellence awards were presented for the winter 2023 term. Congratulations to all the recipients!
