The family business Cinémas Guzzo wants to undertake an expansion project in major Canadian cities in 2019!

The family business Cinémas Guzzo was founded in Quebec in 1974 by Angelo Guzzo, an Italian immigrant. Regarded as one of the pioneers of independent multi-screen movie theatres in Canada, Angelo Guzzo is currently Chairperson of the Board of the company that has been recognized as one of the 300 largest SMEs in Quebec. With 150 screens spread across ten complexes, Cinémas Guzzo brings together the largest number of independent cinemas in Quebec. Angelo Guzzo’s son, Vincenzo Guzzo, is Chief Executive Officer of the company. In addition, Vincenzo Guzzo is recognized for his involvement with the APCQ (Association des propriétaires de cinémas du Québec) and for his presence in the media. His appearance in the television show Dragon’s Den has allowed him to be known in this market. With this growing recognition, he wants to undertake, in the coming years, an unprecedented expansion by building at least one new complex per year in major Canadian cities.
