The 3rd generation family business Gojo Industries is a leader in hand hygiene and skin care products. The history of the company founded by Jerry and Goldie Lippman is marked by innovation. After developing an effective and gentle hand cleaner, the couple went into business in 1946 in Akron, Ohio. Quickly, Gojo Industries invented the first quantity-controlled soap dispenser which was patented in 1952. One of its flagship products, the PURELL® instant hand sanitizer, was created in 1988. In 2010, the company created PURELL® Green, the first EcoLogo certified hand disinfectant. The private family business which operates around the world now occupies around 25% of the American market in its sector of activity. Marcella Kanfer Rolnick holds the position of Executive Chair. She is the daughter of Joe Kanfer, former CEO and nephew of the founding couple.
