Family-owned, responsible business startup Goodee is recognized as one of the most innovative firms in 2021!

Goodee is a platform created in 2019 by twin brothers and Montreal-based designers of Jamaican origin Byron and Dexter Peart. Serial entrepreneurs, the Peart brothers are behind the creation of several brands in the fashion industry, including WANT Les Essentiels founded in 2007. With Goodee, they created a virtual marketplace for sustainable home decor and personal care products. Driven by humanist values and their desire to help create a better world, the Peart brothers travel the globe to meet artisans who have a positive social or environmental impact and whose stories and products they want to showcase. The mission of the family business is clear: to transform the practices of its industry by empowering designers, manufacturers and consumers with ethical design. To achieve this, the Peart brothers have been quick to partner with social enterprises around the world, museum institutions and large corporations like Nordstrom to develop product lines that are part of a circular economy that promotes inclusion of marginalized communities. The family business is also B Corp(*) certified and is a member of the 1% for the Planet(**) movement. Most recently, thanks to its strong mission, innovative initiatives and significant growth over the past year, Goodee was named one of the most innovative companies in 2021 by the American magazine Fast Company.
