Godin Guitars, a local family business, is the largest guitar manufacturer in North America!

Godin Guitars is a family owned Québec company making guitars that stand up to those of Fenders or Gibson. The family business has 450 different models of guitars and basses and has carved out an enviable position for itself among the greatest, becoming one of the largest guitar makers in North America. Moreover, several famous guitarists have a “Godin”. Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen or Steve Stevens are just a few examples. The reputation of Godin Guitars is therefore firmly established. Each year, more than 200,000 Godin guitars made in Québec or New Hampshire are exported and sold in 98 countries. Robert Godin, who founded the family business in 1972, has just handed over the ownership and management of the company to his sons Simon and Patrick. His biography, The Man Behind the Godin Guitars, recently published by Éditions de l’Homme, tells us more about the ups and downs of his professional and personal career.
