The family business TRISTAN managed to develop a medical visor in less than 5 days!

In a surge of solidarity, the family business TRISTAN, first known for its chain of clothing stores, developed and marketed in less than five days a medical visor. The company founded in 1973 and headed by Lili Fortin, the daughter of the founders Gilles Fortin and Denise Deslauriers, thus meets an urgent need for medical protective equipment in health systems. TRISTAN was able to materialize this project by transforming part of the production line of its factory in Estrie normally devoted to the manufacture of uniforms for the army and the police. The medical visor is the fruit of collaborative work with other Quebec companies including Cascades and is already in great demand here as elsewhere. Although TRISTAN already receives hundreds of orders, it first donated 1,000 visors to health care workers at the McGill University Health Centre in Montreal (MUHC) in early April. Combining innovation and generosity, this initiative is unmistakably aligned with the values of the family business whose motto, Unum sumus (“We are one”), is inscribed on the visors.
